Can you or someone you know accurately pull off the Little Nell look and voice?  CONTACT ME!

I'm planning a series of funny shorts to be filmed for the JCCP YouTube channel, each an "in-depth interview" with a different RHPS character.  The first I'd like to do, and which has already been written, is Columbia's.  The only problem is, finding an accurate-looking Columbia who can also do Nell's voice is proving to be quite difficult.

If you think you have what it takes to be a passable Columbia and are willing to devote a little bit of your time to filming this brief video, please contact me at knawdas@hotmail.com, or respond to this post.

Thank you! :-)

THE JCCP RETURNS HOME TO THE HOLLYWOOD THEATER IN DORMONT!!!!!!!

It's been many years since we've been able to call the theater one of our homes, but it's reopened, refurbished, fan-fucking-tastic, and going to be one hell of a fun time.

Doors open at 11:30, show starts at midnight.  Since the theater's new and this management's new to Rocky, we want to keep a few things in mind:

1.  No rice, hot dogs, prunes, rice, confetti, water, etc. - Anything that'll be hard to clean up or has the potential to rot/cause theater damage, we don't want it.  We understand the appeal of these things, but seriously, bad idea and you'd be asked to leave.

2.  The show is about fun.  As such, we're looking to please old JCCP fans and to also bring in new fans to Rocky.  If you're an old cast member and come down to the show, please come talk to us - we'd love to know what you think.  If you're a new audience member, plase come talk to us - we'd love to know  what you think.  We'll also be hitting up the Tom's Diner after the show, so anyone that wants to come along is more than welcome.

3.  We can always use more cast members, so if you're interested, come on down and talk to us.  This show isn't possible without you guys, both audience and potential cast members, so on behalf of the JCCP, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your support.

So come on down to the Hollywood Theater, 1449 Potomac Ave, Dormont PA.  Tickets are for this show and every show at The Hollywood only $6.  We'll have prop bags on sale for $3, bondage bears for $10.

See you tomorrow (Saturday) night, and everyone have a blast!

The Hollywood is a wonderful theater to perform in!

There were no props thrown at the show and members of both casts performed various scenes together, including Preshow and Trixie done by members of the 1990s JCCP!

There were lots of virgins, but also lots of seasoned audience members.  i think it was the best audience i've ever seen in Pittsburgh.
though almost no one who wasn't a cast member was in any costume.  that was disappointing.

They showed the US version, without Super Heroes, we'll try to fix that.

The concessions prices are very good, the popcorn is excellent.

What did YOU think??

The traditional home of Rocky in Pgh, The Hollywood Theater in Dormont, has decided to show it every 2 weeks, alternating casts between The JCCP and the new one, probably called The Other Woman, made up of a bunch of recent JCCP ex-pats, some JCCP veterans from the 90s [when they were internationally known as one of the best casts doing it], and whoever wants in.

we're thinking of running it pretty much like SOTMA in Morgantown, as a 'revolving door'.

Rocky debuts tonight at 11:30pm with no cast, at the request of management. next show will be Sat Aug 22, followed by Sat Sept 5. i think we want to defer the 22nd to the JCCP and aim for the 5th to give people the chance to get costumes and some props together.

BANNED PROPS:
Confetti
Any Food Item [Rice, Hot Dogs, Prunes, etc. If you can eat it, don't throw it!]
Water guns
Open Flames

The theater has been totally redone, it's brandy new and beautiful. Don't ruin it with food, water, or flames.

also, NO CONFETTI! you throw it, you clean it up.
...with your tongue!

if you can come out tonight in costume, sweet. we're allowed to jump up and do random scenes, just not a show.
if you want in, lemme know!!
if you know anyone who wants in, give me their contact info!!

I'm sick in bed today and off work (my parents both have colds, and sure as shit, what they have always ends up with me last), so what better to do than review the show at the Rex?

Well, even though I started getting sick about halfway through the show (if anyone noticed how I went from constant callbacks to absolute silence and leaning on the table, that would be why), I still thought it was great. While the Rex doesn't quite have the comfortable homely atmosphere of the Oaks - particularly since the virgins here seemed almost totally unwilling to participate! - the cast worked through everything wonderfully.

Though I don't recall seeing Sammi before (I must have, because she recognized me), I thought she was a fantastic Trixie and a very believable Magenta. I thought she had a great chemistry with our beloved Chalupa, whose Columbia seems to get better month by month. Nice to see Jordan back as Frank also; as great as Manni-N-Furter has been the last couple months, she does make a great Janet as well.

I do feel bad for Sheffo though - had no idea he banged up his knee on that fall. Hope he recovers in time to scooter around on Friday, 'cause he's the best Eddie of the bunch!

As for the Dregs... uh, I dunno. Me and Tarsis went for a wander. :-)

But as for Rocky, despite the atypical conditions for the cast, I think the show went smoothly, and everything was done well - the Rex does sort of have that grungy small theater quality that Richard originally went for with RHS, so it seems to suit the film great. However, this will be my last trip to the Rex shows, unfortunately; my ride really doesn't like the traffic down there, and being that we witnessed a drunk drive into a pole mere feet away from us, he's probably in the right. After certain events that happened to others at the show as well, I do worry about the safety of the cast down there. Just be careful - that's all I ask of both the cast *and* the audience.

Well, I want to cut this short, but I will mention an idea I had for the JCCP YouTube channel; I thought it would be funny to do in-depth 'exclusive interviews' with the characters.. . if anyone can pull off both the voice and appearance of a Rocky character, let me know! (Before everyone says "I can do Columbia!", I may already have one, but I'll say so if that doesn't work out.)

Okay... back to bed for me.  Virtual hugs would be appreciated. :-P
